Improve Your Alexa Ranking

Alexa Rank is calculated using the Alexa Toolbar. Alexa takes the browsing data from the millions of people using the toolbar and calculates the traffic ranking of each site.

So here is a suggestion that might help your ranking. As we have said we are trying this out so we don't know if it works.

First of all download Firefox is you don't already use it and set it as your default browser. Next you need to set your website as your homepage. So that every time Firefox opens your website will appear.

Next you need to go to add ons and search for the Alexa toolbar and add it to Firefox. Now every time you open up your browser your website will open and your home page will appear. This will get registered by Alexa.

Ok so you are saying nothing new here we already know this. However have you noticed that when you open a new tab in Firefox it is blank and there doesn't seem to be a setting (well we couldn't find one) to open your homepage in a new tab. This seems to be a missed opportunity.

However there is an add on called New Tab Home Page. Download that Add on and restart your browser and voila every time you open a new tab in Firefox your homepage appears.

Now if you are like me and you surf the internet regularly you could be opening up a new tab 100 times a day, 700 times a week, 2,800 a month.

If you have children do the same for their laptops and anyone else in your family and you could make Alexa think you are getting a good amount of traffic.
